If I am not wrong, buffering wud be to take in new 485 applications, process them and keep them ready.
In that context, most of the applications till 07/07 have been preadjudicated, new buffer wud require dates to be pushed to 07/07 or later.
If they add EB2ROW Fall across numbers(6-8k) from first 6 months it will be 20K towards EB2IC backlog. USCIS may need buffer since all pending cases are not pre-adjudicated and some cases will be denied.
20k can clear all back log until 01-JAN if they need buffer they can move to 01-MAR-2007( 2 months or 5k) or 01-MAY -2007 (4 months or 10k), worst case can go to 01-AUG-2007(7 months or 15k)! my guesstimate.;)

How can they reopen a case thats already approved. They approved and reopened the case on the same day.
We took infopass and they told us that the visa's retrogressed so they had to pull back their decision. I showed the officier visa bulletin and told him that am current as today is oct 1st and the new qouta should have started already.
The response he gave is he cann't access the files as the files are frozen and it will take them about 2weeks to access the files.
My files are at local office as i had an interview on Aug 24th

I called them. The rep was aware of the Vonage deal and offered only $ 4 rental and 2.9 cent per min to india. So I am also thinking to move to vonage.
I just talked to them. Rep said they can not match vonage offer.... I am already paying teleblend around $16 per month. I see no reason why I should not pay $9 more to Vonage in order to get Unlimited India Calling plan. (As I also spend atlest $20 - 25 on reliance india call additonally.)

I am currently with Teleblend and pay $50 for unlimited US and India calling (no contract). I have been with them for a long time.

A few months back, when there was no visibility when priority dates will become current, my wife had converted from H4 to F1 so that she could work. She is currently working on CPT, and also has applied for OPT, which will start in August.
Now with my priority date June 2002 becoming current, we must decide what to do. My lawyer had told me earlier that filing 485 while on F1 is not advisable.
Has anyone been in similar situation? What is the best way to take advantage of priority dates, so that my wife does not have to be away from job for a long time.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Do you what you are talking about? One more term for GOP is a disaster. McCain would do nothing but spending more money on Iraq. There is no policy for John McCain. His only aim to continue Iraq war for 4 more years, and if possible, another four more years. They DON'T support same sex marriages. Remember! they are conservatives for God's sake. I agree with Saralayar and dontcareanymore has point. I think we should ask the conditional green card first for people who are in this country last 10 years and/or are waiting for GC more than 5 years. I don't see any issue for giving conditional green card. At least we will not have to worry for AC21, we could freely change the job, and we could buy a house. USCIS can give permanent green card once the visa number is available. I agree with dontcareanymore that the clock for citizenship should start from the date of approval of I-140. Once we have conditional green card, we could be out from this uncertainty. I don't know how we could proceed for conditional green card. But we need come together and if it is required we could talk to attorney too.

I still would not put the blame on the lender. Nobody put a gun to your head and asked you to buy a home. You, out of your own volition, went to the lender after all the shopping you did for rates, then settled with one lender and signed the contract. Why is it the lender's fault for lending you money when you needed it? Why didnt you finanance the whole purchase yourself? You didn't have that kind of money, right? So what the lender did was charge you interest, as a fee for loaning you the money. So the builder/owner of the home got his money from the bank and left. Now the two parties involved are you and the lender. And it is your obligation to pay the loan whether the home appreciates or depriciates. Like Canadian_Dream already said, any investment has risk associated with it. You should have paid attention to it before signing the contract. Have you ever invested in a stocks or mutual funds? There is always a disclaimer that there is a certain amount of risk involved. The investment in real estate is just like that. It is not like putting away money in a savings account which is insured by FDIC.
If someone is dumb enough not to know these things he should not be investing in the first place!

One could even argue that the reason America is politically the way it is, is that the government is not afraid of it's citizens, and the power that they have if they wielded it correctly in the true democratic fashion.
If no one protests, nothing changes. You have to fight for what you believe in.

My case was in NSC. No additional fingerprinting, except one in Oct 2007, my son had to do one since he turned 14 this year....
14 years of wait is over......Praise be to God for his faithfulness and mercies

Please post any document where USCIS admit that they are working with July 2nd cases. I didn't get any document in USCIS website. May be i missed ? Or Well Officially they are telling that they are working with July end/August start filers but CSR Level 1 says in phone. bla bla. :D
