I was thinking you need your passlips (?) as proof of employment.

Focus on the core issues (if you care), not on extraneous stuff. For petes sake, it is already approved, seems like most of us are only focussed on our own backs or riding on others.

this journey for me started 5 years ago, at this stage I'll take whatever piece of information, trend or experience I can get to better understand the process.
lets be honest, USCIS have been less than helpful in providing updates and many lawyers are as lost as we are
so I'll take whatever extraneous stuff I can get, not just to understand my case, but to see the trends with other people too

I found an article that explains the 180 day rule a little better. I believe it is called section 245(k). You should definitely get advice through an experienced attorney to make sure.

You can apply for a PCC from Regional Passport Office. I got mine for Rs.300/- at the Passport office in just 2 days and its very simple. If you want a PCC from Police Department its a big hassle in India, you can approach only the Superintendent/Commissioner's Office to request one. Mostly Police in India demand money for these kind of simple things, its nothing but "bribe" which I'm against.

i doubt they woould do an inch in our against , Social security , Medical is something we pay without even thinking of it there are more than 300K + in our boat and thats huge money 300,000* 300 on 90000000 thats just social security so no worries relax .

How come they cannot consider my EAD, Official transcripts, Graduate status letter?
Regarding Status letter, I have seen students applying like this and getting query later. What do you say about the students graduating in May (who files like me with OPT card and status letter) and applying for H1 in April?
You can postpone your graduation but you need to have completed all your credit hours and thesis work if any before you can apply on the master's degree quota. That is what people use their status letters for, to tell the USCIS that they have completed all degree requirements but will graduate later. In your case, since you haven't finished your degree requirements and will not do so by the time you apply for your H1B, the status letter is of no use.

How one can distinguish if I am paid via H1 or EAD ? both are linked to Same SSN and IRS go by SSN.
Am i missing something?

You don't. Your employer files an I9, and there they mention your status. This is why they need to update using an I9 every time you get a H1 extension.

Hi,
I just got my 2nd 3 year extension (Nov 2006 to Nov 2009) on my H1B after completing six years.
My PD is June 2005 and I-140 approved on July 2006. I am thinking of
changing my job. I am puzzling about the following questions:
1. Can I change the job and use my 3 year extension for the next job?
2. Can I keep my PD of June 2005 if my current employer doesn't revoke
my I-140 ?
3. If I apply for GC again with new employer and get my I-140 approved , can
I keep getting 3 year extensions on that job ?

i have applied for AP 3 months back for myself (primary) and my wife. we got wife's AP 3 weeks back. not even LUD on mine. so i faxed expedite request on Jan26th.
Got a letter 2 days back saying,
' this aknowledges ur expedite fax. we have been unable to locate any record of a decision made on ur case. if u desire, u can file a duplicate application'.
they asked to send dup application with a 'Attention: Do not open in mailroom, deliver to co-ord supervisor'.
they also enclosed an bright orange letter for expedite proc and asked me to place on top.
the header of this orange letter reads 'Attachment 4: NSC has determined that ur appl previously submitted cannot be located :-( therefore u r requested to file a duplicate'.
im guessing in the pile of apps, they couldnt fetch mine :-(
i kinda ignored this letter and been preparing for H1 stamping back home. took VFS appointment, plane tix, what not.
to top all this, yesterday there was soft LUD on my case and again another one today.
so i am guessing they located my application and started working on it.

Proves that we are not cheap labor and we are not driving the salaries down. I know citizens in my position in my company are not being paid more than me. We had waited for three months to fill a position and we have to compromise in the end because we could not get enough resumes to go through.

I may have to use it for work from January as I am invoking AC21. I am confused now whether to re-apply or just use it like as it is.
My attorney informed USCIS about the typo error when they received the AOS receipts , but it looks like EAD Card was ordered before USCIS was notified. My Advance Parole has also mis-spelled Lastname. I have USCIS letter confirming typo error attached to my case. Would this be a sufficient proof that my EAD has a different Lastname which is only a typo error?
Gurus please advise.

My lawyer advised me to take an infopass to correct the name of my dependent on the EAD card. Instead of "e", they placed "a" and he said that I might as well have the name on the FP notice and I-485 corrected.
