A freind of mine came across a gentleman, who is here on work visa and he is facing a unique problem. He is married to two persons and wants to bring his whole family here in the USA. He was looking for answer if he can get both his spouses and kids here on H4 visas. Currently both of them and his kids are in India. Interesting hmmm :D

Here is what we did for the birth certificate RFE couple of years ago
1 - copy of 10th standard mark sheet with birth date on it
2 - copy of 12th standard mark sheet with birth date on it
3 - affidavit from two relatives on notarized paper stressing the date of birth, the relationship with the person in question, whether they witnessed the birth or in the hospital etc.
The four things (two marksheets and two affidavits) worked well for us. Good luck.

Yes sir, I do. I am suffering for 8 years now because of all these stupid USCIS rules. They think that by changing name from INS to USCIS things will change. Well, got a news for all, it is in worst shape than ever.

I don't think you get a sense of his problem, even though you claim you do...you are in fact beating a dead horse...I got your point regarding IV's efforts, and am not disputing that one bit, but at the same time when someone posts a valid concern/issue that they have, it doesn't hurt to have some empathy....I'm sure you wouldn't be too happy if you were in their place....

I came through SFO a few days ago. I was prepared to leave if told that I could not stay, (having lost my job last November and not having found another). I was asked if I was still working for the petitioner, I replied truthfully that I was not and that I was looking for another job. I was then told it was OK, and "welcome back".
I've got a code I biometric notice eventhough I did not apply for and EAD. What might this mean? Thanks to USCIS I lost a 2004 PD ...now its a 8/2006 PD.
In the meanwhile I have a Phd offer from a top UK university and am planning to take that opportunity, even though I have an admission to a Master's here with full scholarship.

One important observation is that EB2 India/China shouldn't celebrate until State changes their planning style. If CIS wastes visas due to swing movement by State, EB2 I/C doesn't move so much and numbers will be wasted. So it is important that IV push state to incorporate long term planning and add the CIS processing as a lead time to calculate visa dates movement at least for post July 2007.

I spoke to a staff at Michael R. McNulty's office.
He comes to Albany on weekends only.
Rest of the time (5 days a week) he is in Washington.
We can meet staff members any time betwenn 9 to 5 (no appointment required).
Spoke to staff member at Schumer's office.
He is not available for a meeting.
Have set up a meeting (with staff) for 12th April 11am (nothing available for next 2 weeks).
I was actually just trying to find out if we could schedule an appointment with Schumer. Did not expect them to set up an appointment on the phone so fast.
We can change if this is not convenient.
I am not sure if this is gonna help, as it is 2 weeks away.

I have now stopped getting phone calls from friends, when I call them they talk to me but divert the topic when I talk about the rally. Many of these people are in real tough situations facing layoffs etc.... but still just do not want to talk about it.
Immigrants are now turning out to be anti immigrants?
A human being can resist himself to such an extent that he starts fighting his own people who want to help him and blindly supports the opposition due to fear?
It all depends on where you come from and how you are raised. On one side we have people who can motivate themselves and can be pushed to any extent, at one stage they seem to start moving mountains - whereas we have these immigrants who have turned anti immigrant just due to excessive fear and anxiety.
Tri State members have been most disappointing. Very few self motivated members worked day and night and are getting tired, but not losing hope. Majority of members not coming forward at all.

Congrats suresh..it's good to see Dec 05 getting approved..best option would be to get your wife here on F1..Some of the schools required only TOEFL ..after coming to US get married again in US and apply for 485..
485 derivative status is only available if you were married before the 485 approval not after
If someone marries after 485 approval then you need to file I130 under family category for spouse
Of course it is always possible to come on h1 and get a new new gc application filed thru employer - but it is not possible to add as derivative application with a lawful permanent resident

Mine was filed on July 17th at NSC with RD Sep 10th. It got transferred to TSC, I received EAD,AP for me and my wife but havent recd FP. Opened service request 3 weeks back of no avail....:confused:

for those with masters or phd there is already a special quota called EB1. All of the others are not different from one another. if with your MS/PhD you are going to do the same kind of job any qualified person from India would do, what is the need for a special catagory. You have to prove your point then everybody will agree. Just by saying "special quota for MS" we will ask; WHY? show us the reason. I know lot of engineering graduates/MBAs/research scientists who have got MS from here but dont see any special significant contribution. I also know lot of professionals (specialists in medical / other fields) who were trained in the US and are significantly valued all over the world. So to put it briefly, this argument will not work with the law makers. People with PhD and lot of publications / patents / significant contributions etc definitely need a special quota and they already have one. The rest of us are in the same boat friends.
