Hi,Advise please!
1)I got H1B visa stamp until June 30,2007. Sampe company (Hospital), I got extension approval notice until July 30,2007 (i.e 30 days).
2) Hospital applied for New H1B (Change of employer) from July 31st,2007 until June 30,2010.
Can i go for stamping in June (OR) I have to wait for until July 30,2007.
Thank you.

There have been cases reported in past on this forum where the PERM approval was lost in mail.
You should ask your employer to download the PERM approval from DOL ETA website, which should be completed and signed by both you and your employer (similar to the PERM paper approval that you did not receive).
Your lawyer should submit this form with I-140 and also request USCIS to obtain a duplicate copy of PERM approval from DOL. This may help.
Are you porting to EB2?

My cousin sister told me yesterday that - many are shy. Especially men - men could be the shyest people when it comes to showing up in public.
Yes, a big reason for people hiding inside closets is shyness.
This is also called social inhibition - UNABLE TO INTERACT SOCIALLY IN PUBLIC.
COME ON FOKLS - LETS ALL BE REAL MEN - LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT YOU EXIST. YOU HAVE TO OVERCOME YOUR SHYNESS
A LOT OF WOMEN ARE DOING SELFLESS HELP AT IV - THESE WOMEN ARE BRAVE - THEY WILL ONLY APPRECIATE BRAVE MEN - SO IF YOU SHOW UP YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED BY ALL THE GREAT WOMEN AT IV.
To quota an example: When I went to a discotheque for the first time - I was just standing there doing nothing. I was giving all excuses - like headache, no mood etc..... but all it took was someone to pull me in, and after that i was never shy.

If you were born in India, you will still be counted as "EB2 India" in greencard queue even after you become british citizen.
In other words, if you are planning to become a british citizen to live there, good luck. But it will not help you with US immigration.

Here is a situation of my friend .
1.He lost his and his wife's passport alongwith the receipt notices and FP notice.The current visa which has expired and I-94 is also lost.
2.The lost passport includes the old passport with old visa in it.
Can you please throw some light as to what are his options.

Did he filed a police complaint? If not, ask him to file a police complaint and then apply for a duplicate passport with a copy of old passport along with the copy of police complaint.
After getting the duplicate passport, (if he goes to his respective embassy, I think he may be able to get the duplicate in a day) ask him to call USCIS and talk to immigration officer. He also may need to contact his attorney who will provide a plan to obtain duplicate copies.

some retaliations (for wistleblowers) based on race, ethnicity etc. are illegal. however if it was just because they didn't agree with your behavior or business related thoughts then they are perfectly okay firing you.
saying that usually the onus is on the company to prove that it was not because of any of the protected category (race, ethnicity etc.)

Hello everyone,
According to my immigration-lawyer, I have received a notice for interview. I filed under EB2 category and only my and my wife's I-485 is pending. I had friends who got their GC without the interview, but i got called of an interview, so I was wondering why i got called for an interview-any specific reasons that some of us get called for an interview?
Another questions is; i read some blogs and almost all the people who were called for an interview seem to get a list of documents from the INS to take along for the interview. My attorney didnot mention anything about the list, so do all interview notices come with the document list or is it normal to not have one?
Please any insight in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The NC DMV is taking a really long time to validate my EAD. Its been over 60 days now since my license renewal based on EAD expiring October 2010. They keep sending me back with a temporary license valid for 15 days saying they are yet to validate and issue my perm license based on EAD.

Yes, my paper receipt shows June 29th as date of receipt. But the online status shows a later date which I believe is the date it was transfered from NSC to TSC. So I guess it is normal.

The bill also states that USCIS has consistently failed to reduce application backlogs and has suffered from a lack of transparency and effective management.
�Our immigration services need to move into the 21st century,� stated Rep. While I agree that USCIS needs to modernize its existing infrastructure and procedures, they must do so in a transparent and open manner. Our immigration system should be both effective and fair; sacrificing one to achieve the other should not be an option.�
