Yes, this is just one account and am happy for you that you got lucky. I too went to New Delhi Embassy and have been stuck since Jan 7th.
I have been in the US for almost 10 years and with the same employer for the last 7+ years. This was 11+ year H1B extension and I am stuck since Jan. 7th. I was told Additional Administrative Processing - and have not heard zilch back from the embassy yet. Law-firm has written to the embassy and reaching out to the DoS. I have been calling DoS every week religiously only to hear that "AAP is in progress and you will have to wait it out". Separated from family, living out here on my own - thankfully I work for a global company but working all-nighters will eventually get to me.
Having said that, it is a matter of chance for everyone. Just be careful and plan accordingly. If you can avoid it, travel using an AP.

My attr said that uscis does not follow any chrological order to approve cases. Rather, it takes any 485 application filed before Jan 22, 05. So, your point on "giving more time" won't work here.
This is what I did. I did not get GC yet though, but got to know where I'm at.
1. Contacated NCS numerous times and raised two SRs.
2. Took inforpass a couple of times. Infopass IOs have more detailed info about our cases.
3. Contact Senator requesting that my appln be assigned to an IO, and it was done so. It is with an IO now. Hoping and praying that my IO picks up application to approve it this week.
4. Contacted Ombudsman late last week. Hoping to get some good actions taken on my application.
5. You might consider contacting Janet Napolitino as well.

Guys do not feed the freeloaders by telling anything you are reading in the donor forum. Let these people help themselves by signing up for recurring contributions if they want helpful nformation about their EB2 PD movemement. We are still not meeting of our advocacy day amount. It is all because most people want free lunches. This needs to stop. The 200 people going to DC tomorrow are going to speak for you and me for yours and mine greencard. They are taking time off and spending own money for you and me. Nothing is free in this world. IV is also doing this for you and me and we are taking it for granted. In order to utilize all visas under given category , NVC will start preparing application and forward to consulate. NVC is rarely wrong in their prediction, sometime they do start processing app in case USCIS fails act on enough cases in last quarter and in case if they have to forward date ahead they want to make sure consulates are ready with file to close.
Since this is June 2007 case , they might be expecting real GC allocation upto April 2007 but they want to keep buffer of 2 months.If person who posted this info is not making april fool joke then PD in last quarter will be defiantly up to June 2007.
Friends even I believe that looks like we will hit the Jul - Aug 2007 mark this year for EB2 things seem to be adding up well.
If we got 12K from EB1 and EB5 for the first 6 months then we should expect another 12K and even EB2 ROW usage is significantly down.

At last, after 10.5 years, 4 employers, 2 Labor filings, 1 Perm and 2 -I 140 (One from my employer and one from my spouse employer),1 - I485 filing, 2 SR, 1 senator request, 1 infopass - Got the mail - CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED for self, spouse and son.
What to do now? I dont know, for the last many years, used to think everyday about this 'CARD' and now nothing else to think about. May be, I should start thinnking about ????
But for now, Just going to relax and savor the moment.
Thanks for all the Guys, Gurus, Seniors, Juniors and all who contributed to the various discussions. I am pretty sure that I cannot stop logging to this website even I got my 'Card'. I will try to help you guys in some way or the other.

Here is my take-
Foreclosing on your house is asolutely legal in the USA. You can even declare personal bankruptcy if you are in a real mess.
Ofcourse you need to evaluate the consequences of forclosing or declaring bankruptcy.
Wall Street executives are cahsing in millions of dollars in bonuses while filing for bankruptcy. This is how the system works in a capitalist country. There is no place for morals and ethics in capitalism. It's all about playing by the rules.
I had bought a house 2 years back thinking that i will sell it after couple of years and make money. I know many people might have done that. I didnt knwo that having a house will become a burden for me wrt moving to a different place in search of a job. I do see jobs in cities outside my state and was thinking of applying for those jobs. My problem is that if i sell my house, i will have to pay from my own pocket.
Having a house in this market has become a pain as it has made me immobile with respect to good job offers.
I was thinking that incase i find a job in a different state and cannot travel back home frequently and also renting is not a good option then should i leave the house to the bank for foreclosure?
Will this affect my GC process. I have no plans of buying a house in coming years.
What might be an outcome of foreclosure, keeping in mind that i am wiating for my GC process.

I have decided to use AP and have cancelled my appt in Chennai.
I have an appointment at Kolkata on the 11th. Scheduled to fly back to US on the 26th. Considering Martin Luther king Jr day it will be 9 working days. After seeing the PIMS delays, I am seriously considering return back on AP. Cannot take the risk of delaying the flight as I dont have vacations to hang around and wait for PP.

Contacting Senator seems to be the best option apart from POJ method..if there is some discrepancy from Service Request Response, you can clear that up from POJ method.
That said, even I am waiting for GC approval and needless to say, this wait is more frustrating than the wait before PD was current.
Today got this response from service request.

Any body know why there are 3341 cases in March 2005 in EB2 I category, is this about the time PERM came?With out quarterly spill over bulletin is going to get stuck in March 2005 till the end of the USCIS financial year.
Yes, PERM was introduced on 28th Mar'05. I guess the high number of EB-2s was due to employers rushing to file under the old system.

Can some one please clarify what this case number is. Do we get the case number when we apply for visa, or this is just the approval notice number.
I am going for my interview on 23rd January to Mumbai. I was just trying to find out whether I can call KCC before leaving US to find out if my approval notice is in the PIMS system or not.

I received a response from the ombudsman. I am not sure if our issue is properly understood by his office. When we write about AC21 issues, the response talks about I-140 delays. Gurus, please help me understand the contents of the response below:

I appreciate your comments regarding I-140 processing at the Service Centers. We are well aware of the processing delays at all of the Service Centers and the AC21 issues created by these delays. USCIS has taken steps to address the processing delays, but their efforts have not come about swiftly. We have received several inquiries such as yours and are very concerned. We are currently discussing these issues with USCIS and continuing to review their policies and procedures concerning these petitions.
