In my opinion - with a Apr10 AP expiry date, getting a Schengen until Apr20 may not be possible. Unless the consulate wants to be nice to you! :)

Hello,
I wonder if there is anybody who could help me with my questions about the diversity visa in US.
I was among the randomly selected people for DV 2009. Currently I am in US with F-1 visa. I learned that I am eligible for Adjustment of Status. Do you think it is reasonable to process my files in US or should I go back to my country?
What kind of documents should I fill in? Also I need to pay the filing fees (for I-485 $930 for example). Are there any other costs? I also read that there is a medical examination report, how much could it cost to me?
So after reviewing everything what will be the best decision for me? I asked an attorney but he didn't have enough of experience to help me, and I can not afford one more attorney.
I will be thankful if somebody could enlighten me on these.

I found this really old post 11 2004. I saw your tutorial for coloring code. I am need a coloring page for www.walrusdogblues.com My fantasy is to have five colors red blue and yellow black and white. and the ability to drop them in the drawings as needed to blend the colors. If that is too complicated then something simpler. My illustrator will try and make crisp lines to drop color into. am I dreaming? "Money is no object"

I am a little confused on my case. This is how it is:
I recently got married and am back in the US. My wife is employed in India and shall be filing for her H1 this year(Apr08).
At the same time,given the unsurity of H1,we shall also be going for her H4 Visas in Mar-Apr so that she can be here in the US,ASAP.

Hi all,
I am on H4 visa now. Got a long awaited job (with EAD) which will start in June 2011. My I-94 is till september 2010 becoz H4 is stamped till that date. But I have I94 with I-797 till June 2011(6 years of H4). I want to travel to India before i start my job, probably in may. My husband is still on H1 visa eventhough he has EAD.
1.Can i travel on H4 status as i m not holding a job right now? My 797 is only till june 2011. If i go for stamping, it is more likely to get rejected.
2. Can i use EAD and AP eventhough i am not working rightnow? Are there any chance of denying my reentry with AP?
I cannot afford to loose my job and due to personal reasons, i can't avoid the travel. Please give your valuable advice.
You can use your AP for travel and come in as a Parolee even if you are not working.
Since you think you will have trouble getting H4 stamped, coming in using AP is the best thing to do.
Usually, travel with AP is smooth. If the officer asks you the reason for your travel, tell him/her that you went to see your family (don't say that you went on vacation). Make sure that you take the copy of your I-485 receipt notice and your original EAD with you, just in case. You will be sent for secondary inspection but, don't worry, that is normal practice for Parolees.
Good luck with your travel.

One year for my labor had not elapsed and I had no other way to get the 8thyr extension so my attorney applied for the premium processing, it was applied on 16th and got it approved by 27th of June. If your labor has met the 1yr req. you could always apply for the 1yr extn, don't see why you won't be able to use the 1yr labor rule..hope this helps,

- 1st US Entry Date from Aug 2005 till present date
(been to india in Dec 2007 for 1 month for visa stamping)

We applied on June 15th (TSC) still waiting...currect EAD exp. next week :(
I applied on Jun6th and got my EAD 2 weeks back. I took infopass to expedite the process. The IO wrote an email to someone in TSC. I got approved next week. Give a try taking Infopass.

you dont have to withdraw 485 for dependents as it will automatically expire. In some rare cases USCIS may allow applicants who have stayed out of US beyond AP expiry date to reinstate AOS application but that is at the discretion of the officer. it could be humanitarian grounds.
if you can get 2 yr multiple entry AP, that could probably reduce your renewal frequency.

This is not the fence bill. This is the DHS appropriations bill in which 1.2 billion dollar is allocated for fence building. Anyways. it doesn't matter if the fence bill is signed or not. It's not gonna make any difference to us so why worry about it.
