WOW I'm sorry to hear this, I was on the same boat so I can understand. There's nothing you can do. Your employer or attorney can try to contact DOL. I filed May 07 as well, they audited and after replying nothing happened for a very long time. And then out of the blue they approved March of 08. My attorney said there's nothing we can do other than wait as they were auditing left and right, specially EB2. Eventhough my attorney send letters requesting updates they never responded.
I guess I was extremly lucky to finally get approved.

I am living in US and am currently on AOS (Adjustment of Status), my mom is staying with me on tourist visa but her visa expires in middle of June this year. Last year my father expired and my mother is incapable of taking care of herself alone (she is suffering from pysio frania which basically means she fears strangers and repeats stuff) so i would like to apply for Visa extension for her. Can anyone suggest what points i should take care of while applying for Visa extension for her? or is there any visa under which i can have stay with me in US as dependent??

Once you take appointment you can call the same consulate and sned required documents and get PIMS verified.

So how abt I-765 and I-131 forms which will be submitted with 485.
If I submit on August 5th, do I need to pay old fees or new fees for the I-765 and I-131 .
All other forms except i-485 the fee increase will be effective from july 30th and i-485 will get increased post August 17th:)

Before you come to know your dates are current, you will have 4-5 months to get the approved notice or more then that , during that time add your spouse name.
Once it is 485 is approved, then you have to wait for a while until you get Green Card to add your wife.

i'm in same situation. Lawyer said filing I-130 is not considered as another GC application. it's just petition and doesn't affect EB processing. even we don't need to mention it in EB I-485. both are seperate things.
EB3 is very slow so batter you file I-130.
i filed I-130 in May 2006 and EB2 i-485 in Dec 2004. still waiting :(

I think the ability to get an emergency 90 day EAD at the local field offices if they delayed more than 90 days is still there as it is there on the USCIS web page. No???
No. There is no more equipment to produce EAD at local centers. All they do - send a request to USCIS office to expedite EAD adjudication.

I have recently filled the USCIS survey. But I am not satisfied with all the questions they have. I want to tell what we want to tell (not what they want to hear)
I have an idea to send USCIS director information about how they are doing ? (In terms of delays, consistency, customer service, implementation, transparency). This will not cost any dime to anybody and at the same time make an impact.
Step One:
One of us can first create a survey on survery monkey (detailed one..with complete description about various aspects of USCIS) . I have created a Draft of the questions which can go in the survey. You can add more (Please do not delete the existing ones).
The real survey can contain scale of measurement (1 to 10) and also descriptive comments. I can keep the draft open for 10 days before creating/publishing the real survey so that everybody can contribute to creating it. Here is the link to the draft (feel free to add more questions which are to the point and can make an impact)

Open/Publish the survery to Immigration Voice users and all other customers of USCIS(Advertise this on the other websites too). We can keep it open for 10 days to get everybody's participation.

Get the results and and send the results to the USCIS director(These will contain ratings of where USCIS stands and suggestions for improvements). We can also send them to the President. This has to be a collaborative effort and will only cost .44 cents stamp(not .44 cents each but .44cents only)
I do not think they measure themselves at all (right now whatever they do is right).
I think this is nice gift to USCIS which they need desperatly. Also it could be an eye opener.

I have an H1-B from my current employer and my green card is in process. I have received my EAD.
I would like to work parttime at a different place while working fulltime with my current employer. There are soooo... many forums which talk about not using EAD with H1-B since this will cause the H1-B void.
Is there a USCIS source where we can get a clarification of using EAD with H1B? Looking forward to your replies.

This is from USCIS point of view. So they include all categories of I485 -- most will probably be family based. The I140 is exclusive to EB class. Of course USCIS does not publish stats that we would find really useful, even their process dates are works of fiction (or at least not totally accurate).
