Check out the names in the Writs of Mandamus lawsuits or the thread on Immig Portal about people filing writs of mandamus (http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?p=173311)-- it is not "only Indians." It is anyone whose name, when run through FBI's name combination algorithm (http://www.cyrusmehta.com/related/Ayetes_Memo_on_Name_Checks.pdf) (see pg 2 onwards in link), generates a hit in the FBI reference files.
Just for the sake of illustration -- check out the names that appear in this google spreadsheet (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pBQx8tqZHHU2A6Q-Pv9sULw&hl=en) (you need a gmail account to view it) with a list of significant recent mandamus rulings.

If revenue from increased fee structure starting July 31 is the reason for making visas unavilable in July, I have a strong feeling that the visas may become current for all categories in the Aug Bulletin.
This is not a NEWS or RUMOR making rounds anywhere. This is a mere speculation on my part. Let's hope for the best but DO NOT get your hopes unrealistically high.

I cannot name any lawyers in my post, so I leave it up to you whether to treat this as serious advice or not...
My lawyer says USCIS does not allow one person to be represented in more than one 485 applications....whether the person is primary or beneficiary.
My wife's lawyer (I won't name this lawyer either) says there is no prohibition on filing multiple 485s.....however, it's just a waste of money (her opinion).

Received SR response on 8/11 saying the application is in review.
Seems like SR works!!! Finally something that works!!!
My only confusion now is my application status - "On August 13, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."
I do not know what ADIT means? Did anyone get similar response? What are the next steps from here in your experience? Thank you for the help in advance.
Just an update from my end that I checked my status online again and I now see the CPO status....also received the CPO emails while I was typing this message....GLTA!!!

If clerk is doing this as per instruction means, we are being noticed and that is precisely what we wanted anyways. I don�t think USCIS higher ups have any malicious intent. Whole issue may be due to lack of training of IOs.

Flower campaign, I said this one week back and did not do anything on that but was requesting others to join. I did send letters twice to 6 address and sending cards again today.
How do we organize this flower camaign or anything . Shouldnt a core member start the initiative by listing the action on the headlines.
I am sure people are waiting to see Oct bulletin. But based on information we have, please be assured nothing good can be seen, unless a miracle. Wait for the next bulletin may not be as pleasant in case you are looking for a job (No I am not). Lets all shoot emails to CORE IV now, to request them to start a campaign. I think from our end that shoudl be the 1st step. Unless they get the group together, we will be headless chicken as someone said, writing in doifferent threads,
