Wish there was a way to nudge USCIS on quicker approvals- most people know that there is case is pre-adjudicated,with IO and current. Now, if IO is taking a look at EB-4 applications then who knows..when our apps will get picked up

But do not waste energy and aggressivness on citizenship related things. It rather damages the effort, just by adding citizenship related things.

I checked with USCIS by calling them and they still have no records for me in the system. They admitted that there are many who have not been entered and issued receipts even though the dates at NSC & TSC shows otherwise.
Adviced to be patient and call back in October 1st week. According to them its still not long enough for them to launch an inquiry to find these July 2nd applications.
My lawyer also says she can't do anything yet unless they say that they have filed everything they have received.
Again what a mess ...waiting for reciepts takes so long wonder when they will finally process the GC.
I know many 2nd July filers who have even received EADs.
I hope our patience pays off and they rewsrd it with giving the GC straightaway;).....wishful thinking.....

all this is because of the stupid indian government.. they dont have treaties with any other country in the world... that is called visa reciprocation.
All tom, dick and harry to enter india needs a visa and hence all countries dont have that treaty...
the 2 countries tat dont need visas are St.Kitts and Nevis and jamaica....LOL

Can somebody answer this....
I was defintively told to leave the SSN box empty. An ITIN is not like SSN and is only issued to the individual can be put on a tax return, NO other purpose.

I had both a valid visa stamped on my passport and AP. But my wife did not have a stamped visa so I showed her AP and my h1. The immigration inspector said that you both have to use AP to enter. I argued with him a little that I can use my h1 when it is valid but he did not agree and said that I am trying to do a fraud. Well I did not argue much and let him stamp my I 94 with a parole stamp till 01/26/2007. I have now filed for my extension.

I am not saying that we are reporting fraud just for the sake of not tolerating it. This is effecting our GC. Earlier the effect was related to the job being taken away now it is effecting our GC too.
Initially L1s were sponsored only by large offshore companies like TCS, WIPRO etc.. The effect was that the jobs were taken away. But it did not have much effect on the GC side as most of these large offshore companies do not process GC for their employees.
But nowadays lots of small Offshore companies started doing L1As. These companies do not have lots of clients like TCS or WIPRo but they have a handfull of clients. So to make sure they have their clients they started bringing people in L1As and processing GC under EB1 for them. Although many of these people are developers and should be in EB3 and should be behind in the line. But as they are in L1A and are appling in Eb1 they are getting GC in no time and also taking the visa#s away. There are hunderes of these small offshore companies started getting people in L1As. Thus these EB1 Visa #s are not overflowing to EB2. This is effecting our GC.
Now we have :
1. Large offshore companies sponsored L1s taking the jobs
2. The small offshore companies sponsored L1s taking the GC visa #s.
If the L1As are indeed senior Manager then no problem, but the Developers/Business Analyst/ Project Manager without hire-fire authority are getting GC under EB1.
Thus these frauds should be reported so that at least the # of EB1 visas are not taken by fraud.
So you too can see how this fraud is effecting us all.
Do you know why we are having GC delays ?
1. Country cap for visa numbers
2. Visa numbers wasted by USCIS by their inefficiency
EB1 visa never belonged to EB2 or EB3 category. What if there were enough genuine EB1 people to claim all the EB1 visas. There won't be any spillovers. Spillovers are bonuses. It is never our right to claim those.
If you want your GC faster, work with IV for country cap removal and recapture.
Have you donated a single dime for IV's cause ?
We always find it easy to go against fellow immigrants than fighting the injustice at root.

Let us talk about the "skills" introduced by H1/L1/offshore companies
a) One guy takes the phone interview for 15 other guys with "skills" they preted to have
b) Lying on the resume with "skills" that you don't have, so that you can learn the "skill" at the expense of the client
c) "Skill" in Violating B1 visa laws and sending people on B1 to do actual work to client
d) "Skill" in violating L1 law which is used to drive down the wages by 20-30%
e) "Skill" demonstrated by indian offshorers to enter into a contract with a large corporation where they will provide warm bodies in exchange for a very low billing rate. Client wouldn't have any ability to interview the incoming cosultant, which means the offshorer employee is learning at the expense of the foolish client. Then that will be touted as "savings".
f) "Skill" of fly-by-night operators to shave off 70% of the billing rate through a 6-level pyramid of contracting companies

Hey Hunter, were you born in this world with C++ knowledge baby? I have said to some of my managers and also clients that I was interested in the job because I wanted to ramp up skills in that area and they were more than willing to give me that job.

People here are giving pros and cons of doing a foreclosure.. i dont know if you own a house or not, and if you do.. dont know if you are having a perm job or a contract..I know so many people who own house and now they are in a fix because of housing market..I am not like other people who have already foreclosed..and btw.. why to blame the people and not the banks.. if i can own a house and pay mortgage which is quite same as a rent, i will better own a house and sell it after couple of years.. what is harm in that.. i may have mentioned about making profit by owning a house.. but i am not looking at becoming rich by living in a house for 2/3 years..Sledge_hammer and you are complaining all the way in the thread about people who are foreclosing or foreclosed.. but not spent your valuable time in letting people, reading the thread, know what are pros and cons of foreclosure and how it can affect 485..

We must respect such feelings - in my country of origin a lot of us never approved of illegal immigration en mass from neighboring countries.
Question is: we the people - who have LEGALLY established roots the way America wanted: Can we brought out from the sun into some sort of shade?
How can we ask this through IV, with factual quantification of our woes, in a way that All Americans can empathize with?
Facebook is a Great start - we need to take it to the next step.
Also, is it possible to buy (through contribution) an ad segment on a Washington Newspaper? TV and internet maybe more expensive.
Drastic indeed - needs money, but swift and possibly more effective.

What you guys are talking about ... Walter reed is the best place for the flowers to go, with all what is going on in there ... the media will eat this news . DO not Cancel whatever you Do do not cancel instead call the media and let them know........... This is even better.
